wanted: native speaker and language teacher

Within the first days of pre-registration we have already received an impressive response. There is demand for our new way of language learning with talkademy.org and we are looking for native speaker and language teacher in various languages. Our pilot will start in September - with German and other languages following quickly.

We are a not-for-profit initiative, but will be able to pay our teachers.

Next is to use the island for some teaching. Yesterday Philipp thought he will lecture his theoretical diving lessons in Second Life. Why not "doing it" in a simulation rather than going through the books? Yes there will be an "real" exam at the end of the lessons - and all the practical stuff in reality too.

Another area of application are training sessions for youth exchange. Up today Christoph had to turn down some applicants who are coming from abroad, because travel expenses would be too high. Not any more, because if we manage to figure out a proper program "in world" no more traveling will be required.
